I feel a tear slide down my cheek, as I pull out my blade. I promised him I would stop. I guess I lied now, I have to do it. I slowly slide the blade across my arm, once, twice, onto the third. The door shoots open and I see Caleb. He stands there in shock. What do I do? I am just standing there crying with blood dripping down my arm. Why isn't he yelling at me, I just broke his promise. He walks to me and embraces me into a hug.
" I am so sorry I wasn't there for you. I could've helped you, but I was not there. I'm so sorry. " He says. I drop my blade and feel more tears poor out. " I love you. " he says. I freeze. What.

I knew those words to well and with a gust of wind hitting my face I looked up to see HIM standing in front of me with eyes pure red. I smiled weakly "it's been a long time dev..." Everything is cringy and bad about this story, but I decided to complete this book since I got a lot of comments disappointed it was never finished. Eric didn't choose or really want to be gay, it just kind of happen- something that just happened, he can't even remember how he found out he was gay all he knew was that he was, And it wasn't like there's nothing wrong with that. Eric wasn't homophobic, he didn't feel disgusted in himself but rather disappointed. Everyone put pressure on him to be this perfect person, whether it being grades or sports or family- everything would be ruin if he came out. That's why he hadn't told anyone in the last couple years, not because he's scared- pft, Eric Goodmen scared? Star football player? Could have all the women by just a click of a button if wasn't for being in love with the same gender- scared? He was just a little 'inconvenienced'. One party changed everything though- to many drinks and making out with the wrong gender to send his fake perfect life crashing down when discovering out the first person he came out to, kissed, and had sex with was Callum Micheals. Mr pretty boy. Like life flashing before his eyes- Eric questioned whether Callum remembered or not? *** The smell of a nose itching fabric softer, too expensive for his parents to buy and the feel of warm feather pillows is what Eric woke up to. I like inflicting pain. Not on others but on myself. Some people would call me depressed but I'm not. If anything the pain makes me happy. I started "self harming" at the mere age of nine. "It's because Im in love with you" He says, with a straight face. Not even cracking a smile. I cant help but to laugh at his remark, staring at his serious face. Hes putting a lot into this act. He would never just admit it like that. "No you're not," I tell him after my fit of laughter. I pull at his cheek once before patting it with a smirk, "We just had sex," "And now I love you," He says, immediately after. "We were both desperate," I respond, finally deciding not to pay him any mind. I grab my rag off the counter top, wiping off the spot he is at and continuing down the bar. "I love you" He calls out as I get farther away. I don't react, keeping my back to him and ignoring his shenanigans, stilling scrubbing down the bar. "I said I love you," He calls out again, louder. I can hear his chair scrape the ground and I can see he starts to follow me from the opposite side of the bars. "Do you hear me? I love you" He yells over the noise in the bakery. -- "It's because Im in love with you" I tell him, seriously. "No you're not," He responds simply, "Because then you wouldn't leave me," "You know I love you," I plead, crossing my arms across my chest, "I wouldn't just do this to you, Tony," My arms are folded on my chest but I want nothing more than to wrap them around him and hold him for a second longer. He pulls further away from me, his hands raking over his face, before they drop in his lap. "You were using me," He says softly. Like a moment of realization hit. "No, I love you." I tell him again, unconsciously reaching for his hand for comfort for the both of us. He pulls it back, standing up and not giving me a second glance before he walks off from me. My jaw drops. "I said I love you," I call out from behind him. "Do you hear me? I love you," *** Friends and benefits could never hurt a childhood friendship. Could it? How far will this go? What is there to expect?
