Jackson let out a quiet sigh to himself, tapping the bar counter with his fingertips. A couple different people had approached him that night asking to buy him drinks, but there was only one person he wanted to go home with. Unfortunately, that one person happened to still be on his shift, so Jackson couldn't do much besides sit there and wait, admiring him while he whipped up drinks for people and cleaned cups. Jackson had been sitting there most of the night now, just waiting for him to get off his shift. In any other case this would definitely be creepy and predatory, but Carter had already offered Jackson a place to stay when his ex inevitably kicked him out. Jackson couldn't decide whether it was unfortunate or fortunate that it had happened tonight, when Carter had to work. On one hand, it meant he had to sit around and wait for Carter to get off shift for two hours, but on the other hand, Carter looked like absolute eye candy in his uniform and Jackson got to enjoy that along with the whole vibe of the bar.
