Emily is a junior in Mount High; she is a geek and does not have any friends. And she is more than happy with the situation. Secretly dating the hottest guy in school, works well, as long as the relationship remains on the down low. After all she would not want his popularity to rub off on her. Emily has few secrets that she does not want the rest of her school to know, and being somewhat of a social outcast with no real friends guarantees that nobody cares or notices.
After moving to town at the begging of her sophomore year, Emily settled into her new life, only to be rocked again by the death of her mother a week after she turned sixteen.
