This novel is set in an Institute created for children born with the Ingenio mutation, which makes them geniuses. It follows Dea Berytius and Anton Galanis, the head students three years running and, most importantly, enemies. When the makers of the school discovers that the headmasters counselor is exploiting the staff as well as the students, they decide to destroy the Institute. Forced together by the rest of the student body, Dea and Anton must work together, aided my their invaluble second in command, Rhen, to save the Institute of Ingenio. Will they succeed?
