If your best friend were to disappear tomorrow, would the universe every really notice?
What if the only trace of them was a note? A note saying the simple, haunting, sickening phrase: "One of them is lying" simple words that have a disturbing story to tell. 

Stacy Amber, had a perfect, quiet, boring suburban life, until she didn't. Until everything went to absolute shit overnight. Evelyn's cryptic messages and sudden goodbye's, omissions of guilt, and subtle hints and clues about what's about to happen, these actions,  leading up to her disappearance are only the beginning of her web of lies. 
The police think Stacy knows more than she's telling them, the question is, does she?
As completely clueless as the police, for some reason Stacy is a person of interest. When Evelyn's now Ex-boyfriend Scott sends a desperate, haunting yet captivating plea to Stacy, "Find out what really happened to her", she is compelled to find the truth.  Will she be able to resist his plea? Or will she end up running into his arms?
As the police open an investigation into the disappearance of Evelyn Louis, someone Stacy trusted, told everything to, she soon learns maybe she shouldn't have trusted her, maybe Evelyn wasn't her best friend, but a stranger masking as something she wasn't.

As the mystery unfolds and the secrets and dark past of Stacy's home, friends and family begin to unravel and she's left wondering who to trust and who to run from.
She's left wondering if she's aloud to love someone her best friend left behind.
One way or another the truth will come out.
