book two in the silhouetted sins series!!! • it's been one already. one year since sophie got taken away from the one place she was able to call home. being a foster kid is not easy. at only age seven, sophie has to deal with fear, anger, and sadness all at the same time. she missed her mom, toni, more than anything in the world and doesn't understand why she had to get taken away. she's living in a group home that has strict rules and the living conditions aren't great. all kids need a family and when they don't have that they start to fall apart. sophie secretly knows that the only reason her mom got arrested was because she went above and beyond to get money, even if that meant doing something illegal. sophie also knew that the only reason toni went above and beyond was for her. it was all for her daughter. in sophie's head it's her fault that her mom went to jail and she got put into a group home. she constantly blames herself for it and she feels so much guilt. all she wanted to do was be a normal kid. she never meant to be a problem child.
