Melanie Armstrong is your typical nerd. Big glasses, braided hair, and might I add... clumsy. She basically fits the stereotype. No one ever notices her, unless they're laughing at her dramatic slips in the hallway. But, that's the way she likes it, the way she's used to.
Dakota Dane is your classical bad boy. Dark hair, dark eyes, extremely tall and muscular. Girls want him; boys want to be him; teachers adore him. I mean, who doesn't want a taste of him? He's used to the attention--he loves it, in fact.
They lead entirely different lives. Both of them never even thought of each other until Meli's clumsiness lands her right into Dakota's hands...literally.
