    Michaela Prentiss is the very definition of inconsistent. It's no surprise, really, considering that she's never lived in one place for more than five consecutive years. She believes that her inconsistency is to blame for why she's never been able to decide anything for herself - including boyfriends and career paths. Maybe that's why she's never had a long-term relationship, or why she's graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in intelligence studies and no desire to use it. 
    
    It isn't until a series of murders happen on her campus that Michaela meets Spencer Reid - the exact opposite of everything she is. Where Michaela is carefree, Spencer is calculated. While Michaela values emotion and creativity, Spencer values probability and fact.
