"How long would you want me to be there in your life? " Alfred asked.
"Forever" Sophia replied.
Alfred just smiled thinking of the possibilities that he and Sophia could live in the world of forever. He tried to savor all the moments that they have had, doing some picnics, sharing sorrowful and happy stories, extending help from one another and be a blessing to others.
All of the sudden, everything turned sour when Alfred had to let her go when he suffered from severe pneumonia. He did not want Sophia to carry out the heavy cross that he had faced. She wanted to stay in his arms till his last breath.
It is not a compliment. It is a promise.
