Every year as the autumn moon rises, one young adult is chosen to be sacrificed to the great God of your people, Gylif. Many centuries ago when your village first began, a plague swept your people of the past and wiped out most food sources. That was until what was believed to be a God came unto the Frost Petal people and delivered a mysterious herb that would not only heal the people but make their land a home of profit for the sales of common medicine for years to come. To praise this God who came to them in their time of need it became a yearly tradition to spill the blood of one of the innocent, pure, and young to ensure maintained health and prosperity. This year's choosing ceremony was quickly approaching and it would be the first time you were ever of age to participate. Filled with excitement mixed with fear, you waited patiently as the inspection began and the unthinkable would occur.
