Everyone is brought up to believe that they have a mate because no one can really tell if you have one or not until you turn 21.
Samuel Scar believes with her full heart and mind that she doesn't have a soulmate. She's never felt anything from him or her. She's channeled her frustration of hearing all her friends talk about the different marks left on their bodies because of their mates into her schoolwork. She's now the top of her class, and cannot wait to get out of her small town.
Rye Brenton knows with his heart and soul that his soul mate is in trouble wherever they might be. He can't go one day without feeling the pain that is inflicted upon their body. How is he supposed to find the one he's supposed to spend forever with if he doesn't even know where to look? When his mother gets relocated to another school to teach, Rye can't help the small amount of hope he might be closer to finding his soul mate.
When Sam crashes into Rye, quite literally, both their worlds get turned upside down. While Sam and Rye grow closer, a darker force threatens to tear them both apart forever. In order for the two of them to stay together, no matter what hits them, they must be able to complete the soulmate bonding before its too late. If they don't, they run the risk of losing the other and severing the soulmate bond between them for good.

Remus Lupin has never met his soulmate, the silver crescent moon soul-mark on his hip was the bane of his existence; other than the fact he was a monster. So he was there for his pack and friends, giving up on the idea of love. He was there the day his best friend gave birth to twins, a baby boy and a baby girl, both he and his wolf agreed that these innocent babies were to be protected at all costs for they were his pack. After Lily and James were killed the babies were brought to their only living relative to grow up. No matter how much he argued with Dumbledore to let him care for them or just be part of their lives he was denied. When Albus comes to him offering him a job, he takes it up knowing it's his chance to see the two babies he swore to protect, and with their parents' killer escaped and on the run, Moony knows he is needed. What Remus doesn't expect is for Moony to see the fiery red-headed Slytherin and have Moony claim her as him. This story will start with book one to build the characters, friendships, and world. The Girls with the Flame Tattoos
In this society, everyone has a soulmate. And the way to find yours is just look. Along with a soulmate, everyone has a small tattoo on their cheek with a symbol. Some could be a star, a flower, a yinyang, a fish, or even waves. There are so many people that the symbols are almost limitless. The tattoos don't care about gender or number. There could be gay matches, and there could even be polyamorous matches. The tattoos will tingle when you are near to your sm. And they will glow if you have found only one of your sm's if your match was poly. The trick is, you don't get the tattoo until you are 16. And even if you are near your match, as long as one of you are not of age, your tattoo will not tingle. Also, they are normal tattoos (except you don't get it or choose it, it just appears) so you can get rid of it. But if you do, your sm won't die but they will get very sick. The main characters of this story, Violet West (18) and Harper Black (20), both have a flame tattoo on their cheek. They live in the same state but for 4 years Harper paniced because she couldn't find her match. She wasn't sure if it was because her sm wasn't of age yet or if her sm lived far away. For 2 years Violet also paniced but she knew that some people don't find their sm for 5-10 years after they come of age, so she wasn't as scared as Harper.
