I'm nothing special, just another teenage girl. I go to school, have a wonderful boyfriend and a loving family. My life is perfect.
Until it isn't.
One night was all it took, and my entire life was ripped out from under me. I don't know who I am without them. The murder of Kane Andrews and the Black family still haunts my memory, especially since I died that day. Of course, I couldn't stay dead.
I'm tired of not knowing what happened that night. With my life becoming more and more impossible, I begin to discover things about myself and the ones I love most that almost make me wish I had stayed dead, that I had left it alone. I can't.
With the help of my best friend, my talking dog, the new exchange student, and magic I know nothing about, I start the hunt for those responsible for that night. When I find them, they'll wish they'd never stepped foot into my home.

Kaneonuskatew, or Kane, was known as one of the most prolific demons after his murder of an esteemed adviser's daughter. He came under the most scrutiny when it was revealed that he had fallen in love with that daughter, who just happened to be half angel. Their love was forbidden, so when she was murdered by his hand, he was sent by Lucifer to live in the church where the adviser lived. His main purpose was to be a guard and basically a slave to whatever the adviser, James, wanted. While being there, he met James' niece, who looked just like the girl he had fallen in love with. She looks...there are no words. Her clothe-less body lays stiff on a metal slab, and her head moving back and forth. I could stare at this all day, but I can't. I know it's wrong.
