This is a gender-neutral story, I'm using they/them pronouns just so its more open. The story also doesnt really follow anything that has to do with Tokyo Ghoul other than the characters and the setting. this story is spoiler free :]

Kaneki is still coming to terms to almost dying at the hands of a ghoul and later waking up as one himself. He's always been a kind and gentle person since he was a child, but now; he's a ghoul that must kill and eat humans to survive. Kaneki is now part of a world that is far more complicated and close to home than he could have ever imagined. Uta was hurt multiple times by people he thought loved him and now has a nasty chip on his shoulder. He'd became a fuck boy with a knack for breaking hearts. Ghouls always fell for the whole 'tortured soul' thing he had going for him and he'd let them if it meant taking his mind off things. Yasha Natsumi is living in japan around all the ghoul attacks but she became an investigator to pay back a certain investigator for saving her but she has a power to know what will happen and when and can hear things most people cant. She brushed it off at as just being lucky. On top of that she can heal fast despite low RC levels but has constant injuries and memories that haunt her more than she can handle. One day she's In a café and meets a certain young ghoul and creates a friendship while creating a special relationship with a special investigator.
