"I'm sorry," I apologized as I watched her break down even more. There was a pang in my chest as I stared at her.

Fiore. I took a beautiful flower and crushed all of its petals.

Not being able to bare the sight of her being so broken, I stood from the bed and walked to the door before hitting the lights.

"You should get some sleep," I suggested as I turned my back to her and Aurora and left the room. I then went into the now empty living room and spread out on one of the long sofas. Despite how comfy the sofa was, I knew I wouldn't be getting much sleep tonight. All I could think about was the sight of Sagacity being so hurt by what I had done. I had made her a promise that the next time she'd cry, it would be from being happy. I broke that promise. I even broke her heart, and that was the last thing I had ever wanted to do.

Whatever consequences I had to face was well deserved. I didn't deserve Sagacity, and she didn't deserve my ill treatment. If she wanted nothing to do with me, I would have to accept that, despite how hard letting her go would be.

I had made my bed, and I alone would lay in it.

Lilith crosses paths with a man whose presence is impossible to ignore-broad-shouldered, quiet, and carrying an aura that unsettles everyone around him. To others, he's intimidating, someone to keep a careful distance from. But to her, the moment their eyes meet, something shifts. Her heart catches, and she feels an unexplainable pull toward him, as though fate itself had drawn their worlds together. She doesn't see the shadows he carries, the secrets buried deep within his silence. To her, he is mystery and allure, danger wrapped in beauty. What she doesn't yet know is that the man who just stole her breath is also the one hiding truths that could shatter her world. ------------------------------- Sylus was a man feared by many-an intimidating figure whose power and presence commanded every room he walked into. Cold, calculating, and untouchable, he built walls so high that no one dared to climb them. His life was one of control, where love had no place and vulnerability was a weakness he refused to show. But then she appeared. A young woman with a brightness that seemed to cut through his shadows, carrying warmth he didn't know he craved. Her laughter unsettled him, her kindness disarmed him, and her stubborn heart challenged the man who thought himself unchangeable. Where others saw only danger in him, she saw the pieces of someone worth saving. Against his instincts, he let her in. Slowly, she unraveled the darkness he carried, teaching him that love wasn't weakness-it was strength. And as she guided him onto a path he never thought he'd walk, he discovered that even the most powerful man can be humbled by the simplest truth: to be truly loved is to finally be free.

𝖡𝖤𝖳𝖱𝖠𝖸𝖠𝖫 𝖲𝖤𝖱𝖨𝖤𝖲 #1 She pressed the knife deeper to my throat. I could feel the sting and blood beginning to trickle down my neck. "I gave you a chance to leave and never come back, why didn't you take it?" I looked into those deep grey eyes that I fell for. "Because I wouldn't have my wife sitting right next to me on that train ride." I answered truthfully. ☔︎☔︎☔︎ He has never met someone as mean as her. The glare on her face almost seemed permanent. The only words that fall out of her mouth are ones that will leave you tarnished and torn, making you second guess where you went wrong. Even worse, she never spoke, more like she grunted responses. When he first laid eyes on her, he fell in love with her tattoos, her attitude, her charm. He didn't understand why he kept coming back? He was intrigued with her. No matter what she said or did to him, he kept coming back. He was impatient but would wait for her. . . . She never understood how someone could keep a smile on their face everyday. The way he always kept a positive look on life. He never frowned. He was the flavour bubblegum that everyone wanted. The go-to ice cream flavour that you always get on a sunny day. That one summer vacation that you'll never forget. She hated his smile, his laugh, his eyes. She hated that she wanted to see that smile everyday. She hated that she couldn't stay away from him. She would happily set the world on fire but never let a flame touch him. ☔︎☔︎☔︎ All Rights Reserved 2022Ⓒsyriacax
