There is more between life and death. This grey area is where May operates, has been for a long time. She knows what she's doing, well, at least she used to.
When a demon, determined not to let his human mother succumb to her illness crosses her path, all she knows and is familiar with, is flipped upside down.
But when resentment turns to love, the pieces fall back into place for both of them.
