[completed] Everyone knows brown eyes, but no one knows brown eyes like Arden. Trapped in throws of expectation in the advances of high school, an arbitrary introduction to the new boy in the middle of the year encapsulates Arden as her past comes back, with the days counting down. Every story has a beginning, middle, and end, not necessarily in that order. Not every middle is entirely necessary though. The stories we amass in the chapters in between, the ones we scribble in the margins until we can't recognize the page numbers, change us as much as they don't affect a thing. The girls who looks into the mirror, wishing the pudge would disappear as she slides another pill between her lips. The boy who runs out into the rainstorm with a million kites and keys, screaming to any god that will listen "take me with you, too." Their stories alone are chronological, but everyday that passes is the beginning of another's, and intertwined leave time as an irrelevant construct. Kevin -- Brown hair boy, his hair is always perfect and wavy ,with most eautiful blue eyes. He is tall with a dark skin I walk straight past him, not even making eye contact. I smell his deodorant, ahh he smells like pure "asshole." James, the guy I like, with his blond hair and ice blue eyes, he stole my heart. Just in time to see James, his hair is messy and his smile is just perfect in this light. It feels like a split second and he is in front of me, lifting me up while hugging me and spinning around. "Oh," he said, as my back hit the wooden wall. Damn it, of course. With nowhere to go, his arms locked me in between him and the wall. He stared down at me as he said, "So you're trying to piss me off?" His lips were surprisingly close to mine. No guy would ever be this close to me in real life, let alone me being able to handle it; I would've been so timid and afraid. But this was the dream world. I could speak and be as brave as I wanted to. "Yeah, I am," I said. "What are you gonna do about it?" He paused as his eyes looked between the two of mine. Then, he smirked and swiftly closed the gap between our lips. ~~ In a small town in New York, Hazel is your average quiet type.
