Caro disease (wildfire plague) - spreads though water and by bite. Destroys the nervous system of the infected and it re-wires the brain so that it is only focused on feeding on flesh and blood. The infected go blind but its hearing and sense of smell improve drastically. The creature that has caught the disease has two days to recover before it becomes a ‘zombie’. Symptoms include; loss of energy, dizziness, temporal blindness and intense hunger.

There's not a lot that can freak me out in this world. It was quick and spread rapidly killing humans within three days. Once the host was dead parasites started growing at an alarming rate eating there hosts. Only certain humans were Immune, and their blood could also kill these parasites that could grow up to 8 feet high.
