After a series of unfortunate events, Sam and Dean Winchester decide to move away from their home in Kansas to California after Sam gets accepted into Stanford University. The two move into an apartment building near the school and while Sam is going to school and acting like a typical college student, Dean sparks up a sudden friendship with their neighbor two doors down, Castiel Novak.
