Emmaline Bayer is a 10 year old girl, from the small town of Myersville, Oregon. She lost her parents, in a fatal car accident, and she took it very hard. She eventually is placed in the Myersville Orphanage, waiting for a family to adopt her. Pam and Charles Thompson, are foster parents, that run the Thompson Foster Home, and sign the papers, so they can adopt Emmaline. Emmaline meets her two foster sisters, Julie Martin, and Amanda Pearsons. She has trouble, adapting to her new environment, and constantly lashes out at her foster family, and also at school. Whenever her behavior is out of control, she is placed in The Discipline Room, with a casket, and is put inside, until she calms down. All Pam and Charles want to do is show love and compassion for Emmaline. But, she wants her real parents back, which is totally not gonna happen. 



Will Emmaline adjust to her new life in a foster care setting? Will she start to develop a healthy relationship with her foster family? It will take some time.
