It started out so sweetly in Mirkwood with love and laughter. Thranduil and Legolas are still learning to love and trust each other. Though they have put most of their difficulties behind them, Legolas still struggles to recover from the abuse he suffered with Lord Katar. And whenever the question of punishment arises, he cowers in the fear of physical retribution. And now Lord Katar is back for revenge. His wrath is terrible and his tortures cruel. The hurt Thranduil and Legolas endure during their imprisonment tear apart their souls. Who will save them? And, if they are saved, how will they recover from their experiences?
