This story is done in a high school AU, you may notice that each of the chapters has the theme of a specific song. Let me know what you think in the comments or if there is anything I need to improve on as far as my writing skills go.
(Okay this part I'm typing is newer then what comes before it. I just want to be clear that the reason for the title going from depressed reader to just reader means that the reader slowly comes out of the depression they were in ((I say they because I don't know the gender of the people that read this)) Personally being depressed myself, I know how hard it can be to come out of but having someone there for you helps. Don't be afraid to ask for help. Take care everyone.)

I have an external link at the bottom of most of the chapters that leads to a Google Doc that explains the world. Please let me know if it works. Since Wattpad has an age of consent in their guidelines, I will have the explicit scenes on AO3 and not on here. If scenes like that make you uncomfortable, this will be the version without any of that. If you're curious, I don't use any of the more graphic words, this kind of thing makes me a bit uncomfortable so I wrote it in a way that didn't make me feel weird. Either way, you read whichever version you like. The Wattpad version will allude to some of those scenes however because some are quite important. I'll probably put an announcement or something at the start to let you know.

I know using they/them as pronouns seems a little threatening, but there are a lot of people who use it as their pronouns, and this is for them. But the book is written in a clear way where you won't get confused. So please give it a read. Everyone does for your books. **** Blue. A fitting name for the gender neutral pianist of a punk rock band. A name that expresses the amount of guilt that weighs one down, as well as the depression sinking one's heart. But blue is a beautiful color, one of clear skies and shining water. Just like the person, the color Blue is a lot of things. Many years ago, Blue's parents died in a car crash, resulting in their older brother Luke to raise them with the help of his best friend, Andrew. Andrew had always been accepting of Blue, making sure they always felt safe in his presence. Of course, they always assumed he was merely playing nice due to the fact he was in love with Luke. This story is actually from a song which is about one girl trying to convince herself that people have it worse than her and that she didn't need to commit suicide. All the girls represented one of her problems. There was one girl with braids, one that was short, one with a yellow cardigan and then the others that she didn't explain. But at the end, it explained her as short with braids and a yellow cardigan. So, the girl had her boyfriend break up with her, people steal from her and bully her and her family was abusing her at home. Also, with the last girl, it said what did I just say before she said don't do it please. Proving that she did the things that the girl with the yellow cardigan said. Sadly, in the song, she gave up on trying to convince herself and she committed suicide. Luckily this time, this girl has seven guardians, a big brother figure, a better father-figure who is their teacher to be the new Mafia Don to the Vongola. How will they handle trying to keep her from killing herself? Or will a new boyfriend keep that from happening ever again? Will she stop? Or will her boyfriend take things into his own hands really?Complete
I Liked Blue Better
[OLD] [NOT MEANT TO ROMANTICIZE DEPRESSION OR MENTAL ILLNESS. SIMPLY A TROPE.] Tom isn't your average teen. But then again, what makes a teen average? His family is broken, his mental health is slowly declining, and he's faced questioning his sexuality. Often left to sit in his bed on his phone most of the day, his reasons to live were slowly declining. Tom thought it was better this way. It was better to not disturb anyone, to wear the same clothes over and over, and to stay boring. All, of course, until Tom met him. Updates every Friday.
