Reid Gray is just an average girl with an average life. 5 older brothers, a single father, and a pet dog that was the only other female in her house. Reid has always tried to find a way to stand out. Trying nearly anything and everything, but no matter what, she's just an average girl.
Saint King is anything but average. 2 younger sisters, 1 little brother, a whore mother, and a gang leader father. Saint is a classic high school Golden boy who has the attention of every girl he glances at, but no matter how hard he tries, he just stands out.
The pair have been friends since they were young, Reid always getting them into trouble. When Reid pulls the ultimate stunt at school, Saint has to pay the price, again. After a big argument, Reid runs off and just as Saint goes to chase after her, she's gone. Kidnapped by the rival gang of his father's. Saint's father's secrets soon become told to more than just Saint.
As annoying as she can be, Saint is willing to do almost anything in order to save his best friend. He loves her after all. And, Reid has faith in herself and Saint to be saved. But just how far is he willing to risk the safety of his family, The Gray's, and his own life to save Reid?
I pulled on the chains around my wrists as hard as I could, but yet again, no use. Even though no one was here, I knew they could hear me. "Mark my words you sick bastard! I'm strong enough on my own, but he-he will kill you once he finds me! So brutally. And then your cold, dead body will ROT in hell for the rest of forever, you hear me?!" I shouted as loud as could, tears streaming down my face. A loud bang erupted, so loud my ears started ringing. It was dark, all I could see was a silhouette running towards me. Finally, I breathed a sigh of relief, until suddenly the first figure fell to the floor, stood behind him was another silhouette with a gun pointed right towards me. Please don't give up, not now, was the last thing I remember before I blacked out.
CRINGE WARNING!
First book I ever wrote on here!!

"Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun."
I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest.
They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted.
People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'.
I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me.
I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy.
