This story takes place right after Descendants 1 ends. I'm aware there is a Descendants 3 now, but this plot only works in this timeline.
You know the story. 4 VK's were given the chance to live in Auradon, one fell in love with the prince, blah blah blah. . . But you don't know the story of the Isle. Who took the throne after The Core Four left? Emory Queen, Evie Queen's little sister. Did Uma fight for Mal's territory? Still is. But who am I, you ask? I, Cassie Cheshire, am the daughter of the infamous Cheshire Cat, and this is my story.

After Bianca can't handle all the pressure of being the future Lady of the court and most of her troubles being her relationship with Ben, her and Mal escape back home to the Isle of the Lost. So to get them back, Evie, Jay, Carlos, and Ben go to the Isle in hopes of saving Bianca and Mal but they soon meet some trouble. When they get there, they find out that Uma, daughter of Ursula, is now the self proclaimed Queen. Then of all things, Ben is captured but Uma and her pirate crew. These VKs are going to go through a lot of trouble to make no new villains rise and over throw Auradon. A lot of fighting, a lot of singing and dancing, but what's not to love.
