14 years ago, they were separated. Their minds were wiped. They have no idea who they really are.
16 year old Jessie Dekker was finally adopted a year ago.. That shouldve been something that was cause for celebration... and it was... for about the first week... then Calvin, her adoptive dad, started drinking... Then he got abusive... and before long, she came to resent her new adoptive parents and tried running away at least once a month. For her, anywhere was better than being in that hellhouse as she called it. The only good thing that came out of it was getting to meet her adoptive brother Asher. He had been adopted 2 years before she was and in the times that they had been hiding out away from Calvin, they soon developed a pretty tight bond. He was her bestfriend, and she his.
When she starts having strange dreams about a little boy and girl, she doesnt really think anything of it. It isnt until Asher goes missing, and the dreams keep reoccuring that she starts to question it.
Jaron Dekker worked at The Cube Corporation in Santa Barbara, California. The complete opposite side of the country. While he is enjoying a cup of coffee, a strange man shows up and warns him that Jessie is in trouble and that he needs to find her.
Soon, Jaron is on the other side of the country reuniting with his sister. As soon as they touch, everything comes rushing back.

I never thought my life would be like this; trapped in a dark room and scared for my life. A blindfold was wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, making me completely blind and on high alert. My breathing was ragged and I could smell the mold that was most likely covering most of the room. My hands were tied behind my back, my feet tied together and I was sitting on the floor, propped up against a wall. I heard a slight shuffling across the room that was coming closer to me. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing under control to seem confident and fearless, but in reality, I was shitting my pants and squealing like a scared little girl on the inside. To say I was terrified was a drastic understatement. I was petrified, shaking with fear, but they were not going to know that. "Who are you?!" I demanded. If I was going to die, it would be with the name of my kidnapper. A voice boomed closely to me, "Well, if I told you that, this wouldn't be any fun." **************** Skylar James, a 24 year old girl, is kidnapped by a very well known gang who has a vendetta against her family. My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033.
