Even though he knows that it's not going to get to him, that they beat it and that if it's not dead it's not going to wake up any time soon, thinking about it makes his skin crawl. 

He wouldn't admit this to anybody, though. Bill isn't scared of the clown, and it ate his brother. Stan isn't scared of the clown, and it had its jaws clamped around his stupid face like Ben on christmas dinner. Eddie isn't scared of the clown, and well- he's just Eddie.
