Draco never wanted to get involved with The Dark Lord, but once the life of Harry Potter is threatened, he switches sides. Draco couldn't deal with the possible death of the person he loved, even if it meant he had to basically bring about the end of the world to save him.
So, under the orders of Voldemort, he slips Harry a stolen Amortentia potion, causing the raven haired boy to fall in love with him. It's time for the golden boy to become a double agent.
