Sabine Pattel is only 17 and already having a midlife crisis. Her father, a muggle has decided life among humans is far better than a marriage with her mother, or any other woman for that matter, having this been his third wife. Her mom is going on a wizarding world journey which is supposed to propel her writing career: or at least her Column in the Daily Prophet. Not to mention she sold their home to fund said trip which leaves Sabine to stay with her Aunt Avleen in Godric's Hollow on holidays until she finishes schooling. She'll  be attending Hogwarts this year instead of Beaxubatons Academy where it means leaving her friends behind and everything she knows. Not only that but you-know-who threatens Hogwarts mercilessly and the 'Golden Trio' doesn't seem like they know what to do either. And the cherry on top of it all? A mysterious guy by the name Malfoy catches her attention in the worst way. He is everything she should stay away from, not claiming to be a saint herself, but they burn so strongly together that neither can stay away. But he's hiding disastrous secrets, and Sabine is falling the more she discovers. But Sabine never claimed to be good in the first place. 
A story of who's saving who, or maybe there isn't any saving left to be done...
