To what lengths would you go to evade your destiny?
Many generations after the global superpowers of Earth caused the Fifteen Year Freeze, a nuclear winter that shrouded the Earth in ash and frost, their descendants have only just begun returning to life as it once was. Due to changes in human genetics caused by the fallout, some individuals - deemed "Neumans" - now possess superhuman abilities called neums. Earth - renamed Neumanis by the survivors - has been split into four Realms lead by Neumans, reverting to a rather medieval and conservative style of life.
Located in the wintry Fourth Realm is the small village of Glacier Glen, the place seventeen year old Ilianna Notra and her adoptive family call home. Seen by the people of her village as a peculiar and rather unladylike individual, Ilia, enamored with the history of her land, lives in the clouds, refusing to accept the reality of what duties she is expected to perform as young woman of her standing.
Six months before her eighteenth birthday, Ilia begins having vivid night terrors of a ghastly, red-eyed man. Her life begins to spiral even more out of control when she inadvertently unburies a life-threatening secret she was never meant to know. No longer safe at home, Ilia must change her entire way of life while trying to piece together her convoluted past. One wrong choice could be her last.
