What would you do if one day you woke up completely blind? That's what happened to Amara King when she turned fifteen years old. And now, at the age of twenty-two, her sister has taken her to every doctor possible and they have no idea how she became blind because her eyes are healthy. Amara thinks she's cursed. Allura, her sister, thinks she's crazy for thinking that.

Amara has felt alone since it happened, with no one to truly understand how she feels about this sudden disease. Until one day, she met a woman named Medusa in the forest near her house who didn't think she was crazy for believing she's been cursed and who would do anything to prove Amara's suspicions.

Together they end up helping each other. Medusa who was happy she could talk with someone who wouldn't end up petrified by her stare and Amara who finally felt like she was understood after years of feeling utterly alone.

Highest Rank - #449 in Paranormal ARDEN SERIES: BOOK 1 Paranormal Romance "Arden, you're an amazing girl," He started off quietly. "You might not be able to see it, but you're capable of doing incredible things. If it's anyone that can get us through this...it's you." Zane said slowly. **** Arden is a disparate. Meaning she's different in kind; definitely not like other people. In a world where people, gods, goddesses, and creatures of Greek Mythology fit into modern society, Arden is one of those people. Her mother is Athena, goddess of wisdom and creative arts. Just like her mother, Arden is bright, clever, and extraordinary. Like Arden, All disparates are offsprings from a Greek mythical being and a human; they're demi-gods. They possess certain powers that are unique to their being. When Arden and her best friend Ace -the son of Apollo- transfer schools, they quickly make some new friends, and in time they find out their new friends are disparates too. In fact, there are a few attending the school. When a group of not-so-good disparates put a dangerous plan in action, it's up to her and her friends to stop them to save what they believe in. It's all up to them, the son of Ares, the daughter of Nike, the son of Apollo, the daughter of Artemis, and the son of the one and only powerful god, Zeus. Follow Arden and her friends on their journey of love, hate, friendship, and betrayal to save the world and Mt. Olympus. •Not a Percy Jackson Fanfic•
