Neither his murderer nor his successor has been found and it throws the forests of Fableyth into disarray. Amoung the chaos, a mushroom merchant named Edith strives for a normal life. But a dear friend calls in a favor and suddenly she is hiding a wanted criminal. The criminal, Lorelei, says she's been framed for the Pine King's murder. Before Edith can decide if she trusts Lorelei, they must abandon her cottage and home. Dark forces are closing in and the only way to get goblins off their heels is by clearing Lorelei's names.
