Anna Wilken is a 16-year-old teenage girl whom lives in Blue Hill, Nebraska. She suffers from abuse, depression, and mental damage brought onto her by being raped by her stepfather. She finds herself put into foster care when her mother secretly calls Child Protective Services and risks being abused by her husband. Anna doesn't know what to do anymore. Her will to stay strong is running out and she has no one left. That is until she finds herself in the situation of a new family, new home, and a new school.
