What is CRASH about?
CRASH is a memoir that re-tells my childhood and teenage story focusing on the relationships I formed with people. This relationships impacted who I am today. My relationships with boys, girls, women, friends, and family are all discussed in my memoir. Some were good and some were bad leading to trauma that has affected my outlook on the world today.
What makes your book different from others?
I have yet to read a queer POC memoir that focuses on childhood trauma or talks about religion and how it affects the queer community. I want to share all that realness in my book
to let the world know what we really go through. My memoir is very real, very raw, and explicit because I did my best to not leave anything out. It was hard but I finally feel like I have to tell my story.
