In the land of high fashion, money, and power, the princess of New York city is living her worst nightmare. Things had been so much easier in high school. Being crowned the next Queen isn't easy but it's a title past from mother to daughter. And oh, if her mother could she her now! she'd be so disappointed. Caroline Barlow is supposed to be the next Jackie O, not a college drop out, still living with her Daddy. She was supposed to be someone important, not someone irrelevant! Things weren't supposed to be like this. Then to make things worse, a new family is moving in on her turf!
If there's one thing Pauly D'Amore knows, it's that New Yorks high society citizens aren't as honest and trustworthy as his family from down South. It's been a long time since he's been in his hometown but it's all the same. The players may change but the game remains the same. Hell, his own father wrote the rules and he is the dirtiest player of all. His favorite relatives will have to watch their backs moving into the same city as Samuel D'Amore. Lex is usually very good at keeping an eye on his family but he can't possibly watch after all of them at all times. Not while his family is so large and always growing.
Then when Pauly's eldest brother suddenly dies unexpectedly, he ends up heading home for the funeral. Only to that he's missed his closest family members and friends. A nasty run in with his father, has Pauly thinking that it might be time to stay in New York for a while. To prove his father wrong or take him down all together. Though taking down such a successfully powerful man won't be easy. Pauly will need the help of his loyal squad and maybe the help of a gorgeous brunette to win this war.
And Pauly might lose more than his heart to a princess who's lost her way, he could just lose his life.
