To some, the Si Wong Desert is a barren wasteland filled to the brim with cutthroats, brigands, and an assortment of terrifying creatures. For others, such as Hami and his mentor Teeva, the desert represented something far greater; a second chance.
Outcasted from the Earth Kingdom for a string of robberies gone wrong, the pair sought refuge among the outlands to start a new life. But on this journey they discovered something even more incredible than a fresh start; Hami was a sandbender! And not just any sandbender, but the very first in recorded history.
With this development Teeva immediately leveraged her protege's newfound talent, turning Hami into an underground star of the wastelands seemingly overnight. From city to city and tribe to tribe they would travel, delighting and awing audiences with desert sand spectacles.
But as Hami enjoys his newfound fame, the tribes of the Si Wong have slowly begun to come together under a single banner. The world is still holding its breath for the next Avatar, an Earthbender yet to be discovered. Without the Avatar's protection, those who were once outcasted now see an opportunity; a chance to create the world anew with their own will.
Time will only tell if the Avatar can rise to face them.
(Taking place hundreds of years prior to the events of "Avatar: The Last Airbender" this tale follows Hami as he begins his Avatar journey and seeks to bring balance to not only his home but the entirety of the Earth Kingdom.)
"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
OR
Y/n wakes up in the deadly Squid Game, surrounded by strangers and fighting to survive. What she doesn't know is that the mysterious Frontman is watching her every move through the cameras- and she's caught his attention.
