Isabelle is a sheltered city girl that has been waiting to go to summer camp for forever. Ever since her mother's mother, and her mother, and her three older sisters received their mail invites for Camp Pitchpine, the cabin life has been in Isabelle's blood. Leading up to her 14th birthday, she's been preparing- buying materials for friendship bracelets, picking the best backpack pins, and choosing which outfits to take.

Pope is a 16-year-old boy from the beach that hates this stupid summer camp. Why leave the beach for a summer in the forest, when most people leave everything for a summer at the beach? Pope's parents think the forest air will be good for him, and they've been sending him away every year since he was 14. He always spends the thirty days with the same group of guys, doing the same things- burning their smores, scaring girls with fireside stories, and pulling mediocre pranks.

But it's different this year. Because Isabelle is planning on having the best summer yet, and no one can interfere. However, her plans don't involve falling in love, and it's the one thing she didn't prepare for. Will Isabelle still have the perfect summer, or will a boy ruin everything she's dreamt of since she could say the word "Pitchpine"?
