Emma Rose has always been smart, some may even say that she is a genius. It's both a blessing and also can be a curse sometimes. It's never fun trying to guess which is which for Emma.
But, it's always been hard to make friends with other kids considering most try to use her for her brains.
Now that she is in high school it's been no different with kids claiming they want to be friends with her for her. Even though she knows that it's the complete opposite. That is until pretty new kid Jace Jones comes along and changes her mind and assumptions of every kid that has ever talked to her about the class or becoming friends with them just for her smarts or her ability to get straight A's in all of her classes without fail or asking for her classmates or teachers aid/help.
Everything is going well until she finds herself having to listen more and more about the issues he has with Heather Parks, the lead cheerleader who has picked on Emma ever since she came to the school as a new student the semester before this second semester. The day he arrived he walked in and heard her sing and instantly fell in love with her. But, he has a girlfriend!
Let's just say he wasn't the only one catching feelings for the other one. But how can you not!
When he looks like a prince that just showed up looking for his princess that just so happens to not be who you want it to be.
But, one fateful day changes everything for Emma, Jace, and Heather...forever!

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. At first, I was so nervous I didn't realize that we were already kissing but after a few moments, I realized how soft his lips felt on my own. Before I can register it I felt him moving against me. Everything Has Changed

He has been out since seventh grade and is thankful he has never gotten hate for it, not that it would have bothered him anyway. Alec Walker is someone who everyone knows and likes, though he doesn't consider himself to be one of the popular kids. He has brown hair, hazel eyes with the perfect mix of brown and green, and his side profile could make angels swoon. Neither of those two boys seem very different from each other, both are kind, well-liked, and very handsome. Even if they aren't friends, you wouldn't expect them to dislike each other. Well, sadly that is incorrect. Ever since they can remember, they have each hated each other with a burning passion.
