Book 3 in The Guard and The Prince series. After the events of New York and after her visit to Asgard, Nyx returned to Earth. However, not by herself. She brought Loki back with her and became his watcher. She didn't go back to work for SHIELD. She couldn't after losing Phil. So she kept Loki safe and in turn protected the world from Loki. She kept in touch with the Avenger's however no one knew why she quit working for SHIELD. She planned to keep it quiet until the news of Tony's death reached her. Now it was time for her to come back. Only Nyx knows she can't do it alone. She turns to Loki because she wants to give him a chance, but she also fears how the other Avengers will react once they know that she has been harboring the person who destroyed New York. However, she will risk anything to help Tony and give Loki a chance at proving himself to be the man she knows he is.

After the attack on New York, Loki is sentenced to Asgard's dungeons for the rest of his days. During this time, Jane Foster stumbles across an ancient and powerful source. The Aether. The Dark Elves are awakened and will stop at nothing until they have what is theirs. Thor brings Jane to Asgard in hope of finding a cure, he asks Sigyn for help, but neither can find one. The Dark Elves attack Asgard and a great life is lost. Jane Foster is then put under confined quarters on Odin's orders. Thor is then forced to take measures into his own hands. As a result, Loki is free'd and on The Dark World he fools his brother into thinking he's dead and takes the throne of Asgard. As time passes, Thor and The Avengers are in search for Loki's sceptre on Midgard. Until Tony Stark and Bruce Banner create an artificial intelligence that runs wild and is hell bent on destroying Earth. Sigyn is then called upon to return from Asgard and help eliminate the threat of Ultron and she ends up spending more time on Midgard than intended...
