Ali knows she'll never have a happy ending. It's just not in the cards for her. When she is excepted into the Caravelle School for Gifted Children, she does her best to focus on her grades, without letting distractions get in her way. And by 'distractions,' she means boys. But, unfortunately for her, distractions are pretty common. The Monroe Academy of Music is right around the corner. They're also CSGC's biggest rivals, which is odd, considering one of them is full of kids that can do magic. The few friends she makes warn her to stay away, saying how they're just no good humans with big egos. However, when Ali has the pleasure of meeting one of them, she starts to think otherwise.
Oliver is used to living in the spotlight. He's the MAoM's biggest star, after all. However, he would rather be invisible. Just a normal college kid living his life. But when he is introduced to one of the Gifted, he is suddenly thankful for his high status. Oliver finds himself attracted to this girl. Very attracted. He's not really sure why. She's just a girl from Tennessee with a remarkable amount of brain power. So why do they keep bumping into each other? Why does Oliver suddenly feel himself... falling in love?
