Rinda adalah seorang Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS). Ia mempunyai suami seorang pelayan yang juga berjualan ikan dalam jumlah banyak. Di dalam keluarga, ia di panggil dengan sebutan Uwai yang berarti Abang. Ia senang bergabung dengan teman-teman kantor Rinda. Di setiap acara masak-masak, Uwai yang bernama Lazuardi, selalu menjadi donatur ikan untuk acara di kantor Rinda. Tak itu saja, ia baik dan mau menyapa teman-teman kantor Rinda dengan ramah. Suatu hari Uwai mengalami sakit berupa batu ginjal. Ia dibawa ke Rumah Sakit yang ada di Banda Aceh. Di tengah perjalanan, ia mengalami sesak napas dan segera di bawa ke klinik yang ada di sekitar situ. Karena peralatan yang tidak memadai, ia dilarikan ke Rumah Sakit yang ada di Meulaboh. Sesampai di sana, ia meninggal dunia tanpa istri yang ia sayang disampingnya.
