Prologue


There was chaos everywhere. The screams of the villagers pierced Lila's ears. Cries for their families and homes as the town was raided by the church. The only thing that kept her sane was the memory of her grandmother's words ringing in hear head.


The town was started by a coven of travelling witches as they sought for a safe place to continue their lives. However, the humans became scared of the unknown and started killing witches. When news of the downfall of Salem made it to the village the elders knew that the death of the village was inevitable so they chose to hide their successor.

Everyone in the village knew that Lila was special. She showed her magic way too early compared to other children and her skills surpassed those of even some adults in the village. So the elders decided to hide her till the day the world needed her the most.

And so as her parents said goodbye to their only hope they just prayed that she would be okay. Saying goodbye "sweetheart I need you to listen closely to what I'm about to say. You are the last Keeper alive. You need to live. With or without us. There will be people who cross your path and some will be good and some will be bad. Baby please don't ever forget who you are. You are strong and good. Don't ever forget that. We love you baby the entire village love you." she noticed the pain in the eyes of those surrounding her.

She said the one thing that proved they made the right choice. With the most innocent voice she said," don't worry you will always be in my heart and one day I will see you again. I'm sorry I can't do anything" and with a shaky voice she said to them as tears flowed down her face. "You might not be my real family but you make me wish you were. I will always remember you."

That's insane, or so Brinley had once thought. Brinley Zora, your normal everyday 24 year old video game streamer. Let me be straight up and say, this is extremely unedited. I wrote this in the notepad on my phone a couple years ago when I was in an entirely different place in my life. It's not the best, there are a few holes, but I had fun writing it and I love my characters, so do with this information what you will. If you hate it, don't read it.

She got up when the sun did and tried to sleep when the sun went down. because of this seemingly endlessness, she's forgotten her name, she's forgotten her family and she's forgotten everything she use to be. Living on the streets of a town begging for money and food from travellers that didn't know who she was, unlike the rest of the town that thought of her as something unnatural even though she doesn't know why. Constantly abused by the townspeople who don't understand her, she is left to die in an alleyway after a horrible run in with three drunk men. She was expecting to die and have her corpse eaten by rats and other vermin. What she didn't expect was to be saved by a woman that was everything but human. "Do you want to live?" This woman asked and when she looked into herself she knew the answer, it came easy through her busted lips. "Yes." From that day on she became something else, something not human, something extraordinary and from that day forth she will serve this woman who saved her life and maybe one day remember her name or be given one by her new Mistress. Maybe one day she'll remember who she was and maybe she'll even find the one person that completes her soul. From that day forth she became a Nightwalker. Completed. This is a lesbian story and contains mature actions between females. There will be warnings at the beginning of the chapter if you do not wish to read such content.

And total peace. And there was the Dark land. Where every other creature lived. The three major kingdoms tolerated each other for as long as they could. Years passed without war. Until Elaka suddenly vanished. Without her, the world would become chaotic again. The crystal was lost in the forest. So many have searched for it but never succeeded. Even if they ever found it, the legend says it was set in stone. It was glued to a tree and only 'The Diamond in The Rough' could pull it out. That person was never found.

A living fairytale you could say. For most, yes. Then there's Luna. Luna, despite being involved in the magical realm, never belonged. She didn't have powers so was treated as an outcast, rejected by everyone including her own family. They shunned her and soon banished her from not just their home but the whole magical realm. Now she lives in the human world, going about her everyday life like an average person. She's left her previous life behind and that's just how she likes it. Unfortunately for her, you can't escape your past forever. No matter how much she protests, magic will always be a part of her life, hiding in the shadows, undetected but still there. All she wants to do is complete her final year of school without so many 'unusual' complications. As you're most likely aware, life never goes according to plan.
