Richie Tozier, an only child with not the best parents, who decided he's too much of a pain and a waste of space, send him off to a foster home in a small town in Hawkins, Indiana. There he meets a boy who looks identical to him. The woman who is fostering him is a woman who had worked with children who have been through the same types of experiences and trauma that he has gone through.
