Nineteen year old Jasper Reyes works two jobs to support his ten-year-old sister and mother after his father abandoned all responsibilities and became preoccupied by his vices with alcohol.
It was one of those tranquil nights at Smokey Mountain, and the new President has taken over the Malacañang Palace, promising the Philippines a brighter future. The whole Tondo was hopeful. But that hope was quickly overtaken by havoc when gunshots were heard inside Jasper's home on the night of August 16. He witnessed his father's body fall on the ground after being shot by two uniformed men.
