No one was supposed to be in Iceland. Iceland was dead and had been for 3 years. Yet satellite scans revealed hundreds of unidentified life-forms and one human.
Given Iceland as their home, the monsters tried their best to settle in and make the best of what they had. The humans needed someone to take charge of the new population, it had to be someone who understood them, but there was no chance that anyone would allow a monster to have control over any territory on Earth, so the responsibility fell to Frisk.
As the leader of Iceland and the representative of monsters, Frisk has to balance the liberating ambitions of his friends and the restrictive fear of humans, while also having to learn how to run a country from the ground up before officially being crowned king at the age of twenty-one.

The relationship between both races was conflictual, hostile, and difficult, as humans feared monsters, both for their appearances and for the great power they could possess by obtaining a human soul. Because of this, monsters were always treated as scum and creatures to be feared, creating a significant prejudice against them. However, one day, the monsters grew tired of this situation, and their king decided to start a war against all humans, thus decreeing the beginning of ruin for their own people. This war lasted a long time, but in the end, the victors were the humans, who, with great magical power derived from the souls of the wizards of the time, sealed the monsters underground. Many years passed after this event. Legends said that any human who fell into that underground would die, but a child decided to go to the place where everything had been sealed. They ended up falling but managed to survive the fall and now seek a way to escape or a reason to stay. Immense credits to Error Sannes, a YouTube channel creating its own AU of StoryFell. Without his narrative, I would have created something much more basic, so to speak. Of course, I will also create my own scenes and specific interactions, but what he has done is already very good and helps me a lot to have a direction.
