Melaina, the goddess of ghosts, has had this undying rage and hatred for the god of the underworld since she could remember. Her reason is justified enough because she believes that it was hades, her father, who had killed her mother and left her and her two siblings for dead on the earth. Even though she loved him, she did not think she could stomach it. "I do not want you to be my mistress, Persephone, I want you to be my queen," he confessed to her.
