"Hey! Helloo!" "What?" "Uh..I..uh..car was..because um.....Can I come in your car?" "And why would you do that?" "My car won't start its engine and there aren't any places to shield me from the rain so-" "So?" He sighs. "Fine. Get in." He put his arm back inside and closed the window. **** Man. Don't you hate it when it's obviously a one way road and some prick comes in and almost kills you? Melodie does. That's why she flipped him off. But when she notices that he was full on sobbing his eyes out, she felt the strangest urge to console him. She didn't know what will come out of it. She didn't know if he'll even agree to let a random person talk to him or just straight up snob her. It was none of her business. Why would she even dare to do it, right? Just like you, she didn't know what he'll be like. But she took a leap of faith.

"All's fair in love and war, or some shit, right?" He said, his smirk drawing to a slight sneer as he padded towards the open balcony. He rested his hands on the guardrail before letting out an exasperated sigh, thunder rolling behind it. The rain cascaded onto the tile in sheets, blowing the soft cream curtains back and forth. "Or some shit." I smiled, walking towards him. I could see the tension grow in his back and shoulders, his struggle evident. I placed my hand gently on his shoulder, trying my best to reassure him. I could feel his breathing hitch slightly at my touch; his response was all I needed to reassure me I was doing the right thing. My touch was welcomed. I leaned my head on his back, wrapping my hands around his waist. I longed to take away his pain; I hated seeing anyone this upset. She wasn't worth his time. He said so himself- he's never found a woman worth changing plans for. Maybe he meant since her, I can't be sure. I am, however, hoping to show him that, one day, that woman might be me. ****** Jeanie is a spunky assistant living in Atlanta. With the start of a new job, she moved thousands of miles from her home- from her past.
