We all know the story of Cinderella. A young woman rescued from servitude after capturing the heart of a young prince with the help of her Fairy God Mother who had transformed her into a potential princess.
What if the story was a little different?
What if Cinderella was a young man who was struggling to keep himself and his family alive? What if the prince was a lonely and naive young man waiting to celebrate his birthday? What if the Fairy God Mother was a cold-hearted man with money and a plot to remove the prince from the royal line? What if this "Fairy God Mother" gives our "Cinderella" a week to take the life of the prince in exchange for a comfortable life for his family?
This is a retelling of the traditional Cinderella story where our "Cinderella" is given until midnight of the prince's birthday to snuff out his light forever.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I spit out words, scared for his reaction. He sighs, "That doesn't fucking mean I hate gays. Normally when I do that it's because someone's using the word 'gay' to hate on them, it just pisses me off, you know?" He asks, bringing the crackers back into his lap and biting into them. "Plus-" He adds on, "You're my best friend, if anything, you being gay is a blessing. I'll always support you." He says, glancing at me through the side of his eyes.
