Ariana stared at the scene, adjusting her cap to cover more of her face. She looked at the people she once called family, celebrating at her expense.

It was supposed to be her wedding.

She was supposed to be the one walking down the altar to marry the man she once called the love of her life. Anger boiled inside her as tears steamed down her face.

She felt his presence at her back before he even made himself known. She wiped her tears and turned back to face him. They stayed silent for a moment.

"I will do it." She said, looking up at him. His eyes showed no emotions as she expected.

"Do what exactly, cara?" He asked, his lips curling up into a smirk.

She gulped, her throat dry.

This was it. There was no going back.

"I will be your wife."
