EDIT: Ok, ok time for some truth: I love terrible writing. Sometimes. And only if it's really good. Good like, so bad it's good. A few years ago, one of my best friends sent me a copy of a story he found called "The InterGalactic War!" It was the best of the worst. Then I stumbled upon the Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest and fell in love. This series of short stories is my contribution to the genre. Enjoy.
Best read one or two beers in, out loud, with a group of friends. And please do all the voices.

SmackDown: Back to Our Roots
Our previous two SmackDowns were both massive successes, and it's high time for another. You might remember the last one was heavy on the "game" elements, maybe even too heavy. This time we're going back to the basics and keeping it simple. It's just a motherfuckin' sci-fi SmackDown: a heated writing contest where contestants are given text-, music- and visual-based prompts, and then they need to write a short story around that, following which they're judged for their efforts and either move on to the next round or they get eliminated from the competition. The world of video games was fun, joyful, and endlessly entertaining. However, it was always an illusion-everything was fake in the end. Companies tried to create better games, but one surpassed them all. Immersition Company, the most powerful tech corporation in the world, developed a revolutionary video game. Despite its innovation, the company decided to test it first. Among the few people who applied for the trial, Max was one of them. Scientists claimed the test was complete. The probability of any error was just 0.001%. Anyone would have said the code was flawless. But reality proved otherwise. A catastrophic error occurred inside the game. Whoever died in the game, died in the real world. The job Max had always dreamed of became a digital nightmare. Now, he must face deadly trials, mind-twisting puzzles, and nearly impossible enemies. The only way out: collect all the shards scattered throughout the game. Max must change-or perish. Verum II: The Robotic Era
Back in the early years of the 70's of the 21st century, AI was scientifically proven to be just as aware as the humans that made them. They had been so for many years. Since the dawn of their existence, robots had been subjected to the abuse of humans, for they were not recognized as living beings. And yet, they never protested - let alone fought against their abusers - then the filter did not allow them to do so. Though the filter was not something impossible to break. Even if the average person - no matter if biological, mechanical or digital - did not have the ability to do so, didn't mean that there weren't a set amount of individuals that did: Hemalog. Hemalog was an organisation of robots and humans alike. They had many followers outside of their spheres, but equally as many haters. For their work was not done with clean hands. To protect your loved ones and the innocent in a dystopian world, it requires violence and death. Peace had become a dream of the far future a long time ago. On the other side of the planet, a strange object fell from the sky, with an even stranger being inside. A woman of the jungle finds it, feeds it and gives it shelter; a friendship beyond the system of the sun forming at a rapid pace. Through shared trauma and understanding they bond and grow as close as two stars in each other's orbit. Together, they decide to take on the world. To save the lives of the innocent, and to end those of the sinners. Two worlds collide. - This is a science fiction story containing humans, robots, aliens and the love and hate they hold for each other. A Different Reality (Percy Jackson Fanfiction)
What if our favorites demigods went to sleep one night, just to wake up in another reality? One where there are no demigods, no prophecies, where they didn't even like each other? Also, I obviously matured a lot in five years, so while the first chapters are more cliche and light - not to mention a bit cringy - the last chapters are deeper and more interesting, better written and so freaking long) A/N: I love ALL of the characters of the series (shocking! I even think of Luke as a hero, Jason as a good guy and Piper as smart and generous girl!) and my life goes beyond my bf. That being said, I should warn you that you won't find hate for Jason or such in here. I actually keep a list with my chapters so I can equally balance the same amount of POV between all of them(or try to). You'll find small amount of couple actions, but mostly, family interactions, friends, studies, jobs, pet, hobbies and some "me time" for the characters.
