I reached my arm up, as if to touch it, only to meet more water. I frowned. Staying there till my lungs burned, how easy would it be. To just stay here, at the bottom of this creek. Staring at the oil painted sun until my body finally gave up trying to find air. I would just drift away with the water. No one here. No one was around. How peaceful. The time of blind trust had passed. By now both were dripping with tears, but neither of them could see the other's face or feel them on their own, now mixed with the deluge that enveloped them. A deluge lasted months. Drops of bitterness and despair, washing away the few traces of partnership left between them. And no umbrella to shelter it.

Pain Pain radiated through her body, causing her fingertips to go numb ever since that faithful day. The day she got left behind as Rio's past when she was supposed to be his future. I heard that sound of footsteps entering the room, so I turned around and said, "Hey!" "Don't start now. You will get your wish soon." he said removing his coat. "We can't!" I said, looking at him. "What do you mean? All these days you are asking nothing but for divorce papers. Now they will reach you in a few days for sure. Now why are you saying we can't?" he asked with a completely blank expression. "I am pregnant!" I mumbled. "What?" he asked, stepping towards me in shock. "I.Am.Pregnant!" I said each word with force and then let the darkness consume me.
