It had always been Maja Rivera's fault in any accident that her sisters was in. She had assumed the position of caregiver and protector long before anybody asked her to, as she was the eldest of her siblings. Years ago, she left her family to take care of her sick grandma overseas. Despite the sacrifices she has made along the road, she has found meaning in serving others and has rebuilt her life as a dedicated teacher back in the Philippines.

Pero lahat iyon nagbago sa isang araw. Bumalik ang pait na hatid ng kahapon. When a new student enrolls in her class: Ariel, her first love, the boy she had imagined sharing a future with. However, Ariel is no longer the carefree young man she remembers. He has spent the previous 8 years in prison for a crime he did not commit, at si Maja na walang kaalam-alam nag tanging alam lang niya ay nakulong si Ariel.

Her absence during his darkest time left him utterly alone. Ariel, scarred by his past and hesitant to trust, struggles to reconcile his lingering feelings for Maja with the pain of her unintentional abandonment.

Will the eight-year gap be too great to overcome, or can they somehow mend the scars from the past? How can they step into what could be, when in their mind theirs what had been?
